About Us

Dr. Tonya Hall Smith is a private practitioner who lives in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, National Certified Counselor, a Board Certified Telemental Health Therapist, and a Board Qualified Supervisor for the State of Mississippi.

She has lived in Vicksburg for the past 54 years. She graduated from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree. Tonya also holds a Doctorate Degree from Mississippi College in Professional Counseling.

Tonya has over 30 years of experience in the field of mental health, working with children, adolescents, teenagers, adults, and geriatric population.  Tonya also has experience serving clients with substance abuse disorders. She has worked in many professional settings such as hospitals, clinics, homes, schools, and a juvenile correctional facility.

All of Tonya’s previous experience in counseling and the diversity in the population served has prepared her for the skills needed to serve her clients. She is licensed in Mississippi, Louisiana, as well as in New Mexico.
